The Strata Community Association (NSW) is pleased to welcome Michael Longhurst, General Manager and Licensee-in-Charge of Premier Strata Management Pty Ltd, to the SCA (NSW) Board.
Michael brings more than a decade of operational experience in the strata sector and a strong commitment to advancing professionalism, education and trust across the industry. As a leader within Premier Strata Management, a family-operated business that has served Western Sydney for more than 40 years, he has developed extensive experience across client service, governance, compliance, financial performance, people and culture, and business improvement.
Michael believes strata management has an important role to play in creating communities where people can live, invest and grow with confidence. His practical understanding of the challenges facing strata managers, owners corporations, strata committees and industry businesses has shaped his passion for driving meaningful improvements within the profession.
An active member of SCA (NSW), Michael currently serves on the Professional Strata Managers Sub-Committee, where he has contributed to initiatives focused on supporting strata professionals and strengthening industry standards.
Speaking about his involvement with SCA (NSW), Michael has highlighted the importance of rebuilding trust in the profession and fostering greater consistency, professionalism and education across the sector. His commitment to these priorities aligns strongly with SCA (NSW)’s mission to support members and advocate for a thriving strata community.
As the strata sector continues to evolve, Michael’s experience and perspective will be a valuable addition to the Board. His focus on practical solutions, industry collaboration and long-term community outcomes will help support SCA (NSW)’s ongoing work on behalf of members and the broader strata industry.
