PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS SCHEME COURSES

Being a member of SCA (NSW) means you are recognised as a professional strata manager under the Professional Standards Scheme. As part of this, you are required to undertake additional professional development designed to enhance your skills and elevate professionalism across the industry.

REQUIREMENTS 

The Professional Standards Scheme requires SCA (NSW) strata managing members to complete a set number of continuing professional development hours from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026.  These total hours are made up of your prescribed NSW OFT CPD requirements, SCA (NSW) PSS Compulsory education and PSS elective education (external and SCA (NSW)).

PSS COMPUSLORY EDUCATION

Class 1 Agent: 4 x 1hr online courses.
Class 2 Agent: 4 x 1hr online courses.
Assistant Agent: 3 x 1hr online courses.

Compulsory education under the Professional Standards Scheme can be completed online through one-hour modules hosted in your SCA (NSW) Education Centre. Each module focuses on a prescribed topic, designed to deepen your knowledge in a crucial area of strata management.

PSS ELECTIVE EDUCATION

Class 1 Agent: 4 x 1hr online courses.
Class 2 Agent: 4 x 1hr online courses.
Assistant Agent: 3 x 1hr online courses.

There are three ways you can earn PSS Elective hours:

  • SCA (NSW) Fortnightly webinars:
    • Hosted in your SCA (NSW) Education Centre.
    • Each webinar counts as 1 hour.
  • Additional Learning:
    • Strata training you’ve completed outside of SCA (NSW) – not including your mandatory OFT CPD
    • Submit External Learning via your SCA (NSW) Member Portal
  • SCA (NSW) Events:
    • Throughout the year, SCA NSW delivers informative and practical sessions, providing an opportunity to earn PSS hours, network and share knowledge.
