From ego-death to the biological age of strata, this year’s essay finalists delve deep into the strata profession

Each year, the SCA (NSW) Strata Community CHU Awards for Excellence features an Essay category.  The category asks members of SCA (NSW) to write an original essay that sheds light on critical, innovative and emerging issues in the strata sector.

Essay topics to be chosen from the provided list and should demonstrate unique and interesting insight, innovation and lived experience with an emphasis on authenticity, understanding of the challenges and opportunities or ideas for solutions that contribute to the sector.

In 2026, the category had 7 finalists. With Ruby Carr from Strata Republic taking out the top award, her essay will now be submitted for the National Essay Award
