ABOUT SCA (NSW)

ADVISORY COMMITTEES

SCA (NSW) committees are invaluable forums that help drive our industry forward and ensure key expertise and skills are accessible to the association.

Serving on an SCA (NSW) committee provides a unique opportunity to make a positive impact, share your expertise, and collaborate with industry professionals.

In 2025 there are six standing committees:

Education and Events Committee

The Committee supports the planning and delivery of SCA (NSW)’s education programmes and events. The Committee helps ensure these activities promote professional excellence, remain practical for members, and reflect the evolving needs of the sector.

Policy & Legislation Committee

The Committee supports policy and advocacy efforts by identifying legislative, regulatory, and policy issues that affect the strata sector. Its role is to provide clear, practical advice on the implications of these developments and to assist in forming well-informed positions.

Professional Strata Management Committee

The Professional Strata Managers Committee is dedicated to enhancing the professionalism and operational effectiveness of strata managers by identifying practical issues affecting day-to-day practice and developing resources that assist members in meeting the expected standards of conduct, governance, and service delivery.

Risk & Finance Committee

The Risk & Finance Committee ensures that the association remains financially sustainable and compliant with regulatory and governance requirements; and mitigation operational, legal, and reputational risks.

Strata Services Committee

The Committee provides strategic advice and practical insights into the work of strata service providers, ensuring that SCA (NSW)’s resources, guidance, and advocacy align with current operational realities. .
