SCA (NSW) would like to congratulate Wade McKenzie on his reappointment to the Board, and to welcome Simone Spanos and Mitchell Lipscombe as our newest Board Members. Wade and Simone have been elected via the AGM and take up 3-year positions, whilst Micthell will fill a casual vacancy for the next year. We look forward to the experience, insight, and leadership they will bring to the association in the coming year.
As part of this year’s Board transition, we extend our sincere appreciation to Peter Berney, Edwina Fielen, and Leanne Habib, who will be finishing their terms. Each of these dedicated members stepped into Board roles last year during a period of substantial industry change. Their leadership, commitment, and willingness to champion positive outcomes for both the association and the wider strata community have been instrumental in strengthening our sector.

Their efforts have helped ensure that the association remains well-positioned to support members, advocate for improved legislation, and uphold high standards across the industry.
A bit about Wade
Wade McKenzie is one of Australia’s leading Strata Management professionals. Renowned and highly regarded for his fresh, innovative, and proactive approach, he is without question, one of the most dynamic and hands-on CEO’s in the strata industry.
Wade has 25 years’ experience in Strata Management and founded Strata Republic in 2004. During this time, he has assisted hundreds of Owners Corporations to successfully navigate complex legal situations, and has strategically administered a considerable number of defect, remedial and rejuvenation projects, which has restored, and in most cases, added substantial uplift in capital value for Owners Corporations.
A bit about Simone
Simone is the General Manager of Cleaning & Caretaking Corporation (CCC), a market leading, family owned Australian company that has operated for more than 40 years.
As a committed member of the Strata Industry, Simone has been very involved and active within SCA (NSW) personally through her engagement on multiple committees over the past five years, including both the Services and Events Committees. Simone’s involvement reflects her dedication to industry advancement, professional development, and supporting the broader Strata sector.
A bit about Micthell
Mitchell Lipscombe is the Chief Operating Officer of BAC Insurance Brokers, one of Australia’s largest strata insurance broking firms. With 17 years of experience in the insurance industry, he is responsible for leading the firm’s strategy, operations and growth, with a focus on delivering value for clients and maintaining BAC’s position at the forefront of the strata sector.
